Art Teacher Workshops/Fine Arts Workshops
Art teacher and general fine arts workshops are designed specifically for those in the creative arts field who wish to revive and inspire their thinking about curriculum and the creative process. In planning these workshops, I work closely with fine arts coordinators and administration to address specific needs of teachers in particular districts/counties. If you are interested in booking a workshop for your fine arts or visual arts teachers please reach out directly through this website.
Pre-service workshops are specifically designed for pre-service art education or generalist education university students. These workshops consist of discussions on alternative approaches to curriculum based on the theme of the workshop and an embodied art-making experience. For example, if CHANCE is the theme of our workshop, we may engage in a creative act using the element of chance, followed by an in-depth discussion on curricular ideas or approaches around the concept of chance.
Material Exploration Workshops (intergenerational)
These material exploration workshops offer a unique opportunity to spend extended time with materials and each other. Together, we explore materials in our world in the shared space between-and-across generations. For adults, this is an opportunity to let go and practice being present to this more open-ended art-making experience.
Adults Only Workshops (where we learn to play, trust, and listen once again)
These workshops are for adults who wish to be re-enter into their own creative ability and connect through the act art making. This can be a connection to self, others, or even one's own backyard environment. These workshops are structured around the event of art making in a relational, and hopefully healing, manner for those who wish to participate.
